The Joy of Reunion

However, there is something that needs to be stated. The video portrays the heightened level of joy and love at the surprise reunions of soldiers and airmen with their families. I will not lessen the personal sacrifices that these families have made, but I have to ask a question. For what are these families sacrificing? Duty? Honor? Security? Freedom? A measured response to 9/11?
How is our being in Iraq advancing our security or freedom? Have they ever attacked us? No. Why did we go there in 2003? Was it WMD’s? Was it terrorist ties? The ties to terrorists were very slight, if they existed at all. WMD’s may have been there, we’ll never know for certain, but what threat was their existence? None to us. What gave us the right to attack Iraq then? Force should only be used as a response to those who initial force against us. Sadam Hussein may have been one of the most henious creatures to walk upright, but he did not initiate force, therefore we had no right to attack Iraq.
Why are we still in Afghanistan? Did we not deal an appropriate, measured response to the 9/11 attack and those who claimed responsibility? Yes. So why are we still there almost 9 years later? Has it made us more safe? Has it made us more free? If anything it has not changed our safety and has made us less free. I can no longer move about the country without fear of having my person violated and my property taken. My 11 year old daughter has been on the “no fly” list since at least 2004. She can’t fly without additional permissions.
The reality is that several thousands of our friends and families have been killed or injured in Iraq and Afghanistan for unjust, or worse no, reasons. How can we justify their further sacrifice? How can we say that it is okay for they and their families to go through the agony of fear and ignorance of the condition and location of their loved ones so that they can experience the unspeakable joy of reunion for reasons so crass as are used to justify these unjust conflicts. It is immoral for us as a nation to inflict that type of Hell upon these families, and the families of those killed or injured on all sides, in the name of “democracy building” or “nation building.”
The men and women of our armed forces have sacrificed more than I can fathom over the course of this nation’s history. Let’s honor them by ending these unjust conflicts and bringing them home to their families.

In what way are we not the USSA now?

TWIN SONS OF DIFFERENT MOTHERS?

Ever notice how you never see Jesse Jackson and Eric Holder in the same place at the same time? Since the whole birther thing seems dead in the water why not check this out for us?
Here is what I have so far:
First there is the obvious, Holder looks like Jackson with a pair of cheap Groucho eyebrows added.
Even though they seem to hang around the same circles, Jesse could never get vetted for any government position so they needed an alternate identity! Perhaps Jesse got one of those Mission Impossible masks?
Or it could be that they are brothers or twins, like two sides of the same coin. One of those two headed con job coins. Even if they are not related at all, they both play “Heads I win, tails you lose” with business and the public. Although both love to use the word neither demonstrates any real understanding of justice.
It has been an open secret for decades that Jackson is nothing more than a con man. Since the fake blood of a real leader Martin Luther King, magically, and impossibly, appeared on his clothes, Jackson has been running a scam non-stop.
He always knows to go where the money is, and his greatest scams have been cynical blackmail schemes against one big business after another. He locates a juicy target and starts accusing them of racism because they fired someone who was black or failed to hire enough of the black applicants for jobs. It does not matter one bit that the fired guy was caught stealing, or that the un-hired applicants had no experience where required. As a matter of fact it didn’t matter if every bit of the charges levied were outright fabrications. Who needs facts when the leftist media jumps right in to help spread your lies? So, almost invariably, the targeted company would quickly realize that the press was costing them big. And instead of having integrity and some spine they would get “expedient”, never considering the precedent they were setting. So the guys in suits would ask Jesse, “How can we make you happy”? And…KA CHING baby! Jackson calculated the cost if they chose to fight, and would ask for an amount just enough less to make the executives jump at the chance to make it all stop so they could go back to providing jobs and making money. In case you were wondering, this is called “Theft by Coercion”, or “extortion”, and also “blackmail”. Of course, all this works only if you are black and your target was lead by “the (white) man”. Please note; Any attempts to duplicate these actions by other races may result in long prison stays.
Now it seems that JJ’s doppelganger has decided the populace is sufficiently injured to perversions of law and honor that the Obama administration has decided to take this open theft mainstream. That shining example of righteousness and fair play, Eric Holder, has taken extortion right into the US Department of Justice!
Back when people could tell the difference between right and wrong, a company might get caught engaging in actual illegal discrimination. When this happened the DOJ would file a suit and a judge would levee a fine that would be distributed to the victims of the crime. If the DOJ looked around and found less victims they would return the unused compensation to the company that paid the fine. That seems to make sense, right? Well now, in perfect agreement with the progressive policy of open theft of all assets, the DOJ has decided that this was not paying off for the leftists well enough. They have in turn, changed the “rules” to work more like Jackson’s scam.
Now we find out that Holder (aka Sheriff of Nutingham) has shouted “no take backs” and he seems sure the previously mentioned corporate cowardice will open the floodgates to feed the insatiable leftest monster. Eric (let me hold a twenty bro) has decreed that once all the fines are paid, the DOJ will keep the money and give it to a “qualified organization” approved by Eric! I guess the Black Panthers are gonna get well any time now since we know Eric approves of pretty much anything they do!
But wait there is more!!!
Eric has further decreed that if they decide that there was not enough money left over to feed their leftist minions, they can arbitrarily demand MORE! Did you get that? After the case is settled Holder can say, “We want to be paid again”. For example, just recently a company was told to cough up an extra million so the DOJ could act like ACORN and hand out money to leftist entities.
It also turns out that the little auto company which was unconstitutionally stolen by the Obama administration has decided to share the wealth. GM is so far in debt that it would take every tenth American buying one of their insanely overpriced Volt cars. The completely unbiased (wink wink) flunkies who were handed control of that company have decided to give money to dig wells in Africa…HA HA, only kidding! Actually they decided to give it to some politicians. I know this may surprise some people, but they gave most of it to the Congressional Black Caucus!
So let’s go over this again and see if there is any pattern: Obama admin. takes over something they have no right to, then uses it’s power to fund and further the leftist agenda by giving your tax money to their fellow travelers. I know some of you are starting to relax out there. You are expecting the left to be decimated in a few months. You need to stop that chicken counting and get real!
The two examples above are nothing compared to what this group is capable of. They have little or no regard for fair play. They believe anything done in pursuit of their agenda is OK. They have proved themselves willing to utter any lie and depend on the gullible masses to fall in line. (Did you hear the one about 150 million gallons of oil evaporating from the Gulf!)
The fact is that the US has an abundance of simple people. Whether the cause is ignorance, selfishness, media deception, educational abuse, etc.Matters not. The unprincipled deceivers on the left can seduce a great many of those that have drifted away by using celebrity endorsements alone.
But the real weapon they have is approximately 60% of the stimulus money they saved for their own ends. Because of that huge stimulus con job, the left has ten times more money at their disposal than was spent by every political campaign, by every party in every race in the nation, in 2008…TEN TIMES AS MUCH.
What’s to be done?
Conservatives can’t begin to compete with this unprecedented war chest.
Time is short to share the truth and awaken the ignorant and deceived,
but by all means do what you can.
If ever there was a time for sustained prayer and calling upon GOD for HIS mercy,
the time is now.

Heads or Tails

I felt like I went back in time hundreds of years when people actually followed the U.S. Constitution and when people had freedom. After a lifetime of being raised in an oppressive… wait a minute; sounds like I was raised somewhere in Eastern Europe?
All of this to say…
I was immediately taken by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his no-nonsense type of law enforcement. He’s got this crazy idea that as a sheriff of the county, that if he sees someone breaking the law, he arrests them and puts them into the criminal justice system. I know, right? A real lunatic.
I know it’s a real stunner to find someone in -any- profession that actually does the job they were hired for. So it takes a while to have it sink in when you finally come across someone that does just that.
Out here people either love him or hate him.
1. People hate him if they are criminals, convicts, murderers, rapists, burglars, pedophiles, thieves, wife beaters, child abusers, etc.
2. People that love him pay taxes, follow the laws, love their country and try to make a better life for them and their children.
It wasn’t a real confusing choice when I started to look at him and what he’s been doing to decide which side of that coin I fit on. And, it’s also a real barometer to quickly learn about the people around you.
Get in a conversation or overhear a conversation about Sheriff Joe and find someone against him. It’s a fun little hobby of mine to follow them back to their car and discover a trunk full of drugs, illegal aliens or stolen items from the neighborhood. Works every time (wink).
All of this has been an intro for the following conversation.
Sheriff Joe has been the central figure of controversy here in Arizona for quite a while now.
On the day parts of Arizona’s immigration law, SB 1070, went into effect, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is in the news for another reason: there’s a price on his head – allegedly offered by a Mexican drug cartel.
The audio message in Spanish is a bit garbled, but the text is clear.
It’s offering $1 million for Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s head and $10,000 for anyone who wants to join the Mexican cartel.
A man who wants to remain anonymous says his wife received the text message Tuesday evening. It also included an international phone number and instructions to pass the message along. (Source)
Well, we can understand where the corrupt Mexican government / drug lords are coming from on this one. (Corrupt Mexican Police Linked to Kidnappings) Sheriff Joe is the largest hindrance in their profit margin running drugs, kidnappings, rapes, etc, here on this side of the border.
The U.S. Federal Government surely has shown no inclination or plan to ever stop the free flow of criminals (BTW, a great percentage of those coming across the border are from middle eastern countries that openly support terrorism) across our border.
The Mexican president even stands on the lawn of our White House and berates Arizona and scolds them for wanting Mexicans coming across the border to follow the law (BTW, Mexican laws are FAR more strict about visiting/entering their country than our laws).
So, on that coin I talked about before; it’s simple to see they are on side #1.
Who else would choose the same side as the criminals, rapists, murderers, etc? How about our Federal Government?

Sheriff Paul Babeu is hopping mad at the federal government.
Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.
“What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,” Babeu said.
The sheriff was referring to the law suits filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and the U.S. Department of Justice challenging the state’s new immigration law.
“So who has partnered with the ACLU?” Babeu said in a telephone interview with CNSNews.com. “It’s the president and (Attorney General) Eric Holder himself. And that’s simply outrageous.”
Last week, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton placed a temporary injunction on portions of the bill that allowed law enforcement personnel during the course of a criminal investigation who have probable cause to think an individual is in the country illegally to check immigration status. The state of Arizona filed an appeal on Thursday with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
“Our own government has become our enemy and is taking us to court at a time when we need help,” Babeu said. (Source)

Decide which side of the coin you are on.
Side 1: You support rapists, murderers, racists, thieves, child molesters, drug runners, criminals.

What to do in times like these…
What to do in times like this….
It’s an interesting thing to think about. Some tell me not to worry. Some tell me to not take what is going on so seriously. I see what is happening to my friends and family that are struggling right now and have put everything on the line, just to make it a few more weeks. But, what might I ask, happens to them and millions like them, after that? What happens if we have a double dip recession or maybe a depression? How will those just getting by make it?
For me, I don’t know. I work in the banking sector and I don’t think our area of business can take much more government interference. Mainly there are so many restrictions and regulations it could make you head spin. Now comes the Financial Bill. Many want to give up. Many want me to stop worrying and stop caring so much. They worry about my health and they worry about my stress on the job and getting by on my own, let alone the economy as a whole.
For me it matters.
Reagan said this was the last stand on Earth. I believe him. I feel if freedom vanishes off this continent, then the world will plunge into chaos and anarchy, and it will loom over the world for 1,000 years. People don’t understand history. They don’t understand the miracle that is America and what she stands for, what she means for millions of people all over the world. It means the ability to be free from Tyrants, Kings and Queens, to be free from servitude, to practice your own religion without persecution and murder, to live your life as you see fit, not as someone else would have you be. For the beginning of man, we have lived as people, mainly in the accompaniment of slavery and bondage for thousands of years.
Look back on everything that America has done in the world. Past the lies of the left, what do you see is facts, something the left never likes to talk about, because it blows anything they have to say out of the water? America is the most giving nation in the history of the planet. Whenever someone cries out in need, Americans are always the first to lend a hand. Whenever the dark forces of tyranny and evil bring themselves to bear on the alter of freedom, all too easy is America ready to spill her blood for those who cannot fight for themselves. America was divinely inspired. She was a dream in the hearts of millions and millions of people before she even existed and to this day she is still a beacon, a light of hope out of the darkness that is world sometimes ruled by the force of others and by the will of evil men.
My friends ask me, you have other things to focus on, you cannot be so rapped into this, and you need a break from it.
Well, if I quit, then I feel I quit God, I quit the dream that is America, I quit on her and she dies on me. What if we all quit, what happens then? America is the last stand on Earth as Reagan so eloquently put. It is the only place left in the world were someone can be or do anything they want, well for now. Time is running out my friends. We are in the mist of the biggest transformation in this countries history. The gravest threat in this countries history is now coming not from a foreign power, or from terrorists, but from the inside. Like Rome herself we will either will die from within or establish the old Republic on the principles of its foundation. History is the greatest judge of where we are about to go and what we are about to become. Never in my life have we been more divided, angrier with each other and with our government. That only leads to terrible things. This Man who came from the Heavens to bless us all and change us has doing not but divide us, separate us, into different classes, races, and cultures, till we the American people no longer exist. This is what he wants. We must unite and unite now on common ground. Things that every American can believe in. We cannot get everyone. Let the 20% stay the 20%, but we the People, the vast majority, the hidden 70%, we must unite now, of fall into the abyss that is Socialism and Communism. Once we are burdened with these destructive ideals, forever will it take to get the liberties bestowed to us by God, back?
Unite now America, Unite on Freedom.
I have learned, last week, that MGM is facing financial difficulties, and have put the next James Bond movie on more or less permanent hold. Effectively shelving the project.
This is tragic and gut rending for me since I am a big fan of James Bond and was curious to see what direction the movie series was going in. And am also a big fan of Daniel Craig in the role.
Coincidentally though this might mean that Harry Potter will become the highest grossing movie franchise in history. Something to be happy about.
But with MGMs accounts being four billion dollars in the hole it makes a lot of sense, though if the logic is twisted because of the popularity of the franchise.
It is good business practice.
But with our Government 130 Trillion dollars in debt (at the least) we are adding on massive debt through two wars, massively growing Government, and Government run Health Care.
James Bond is like, at least from the Government perspective, James Bond. It is the icing on the cake, it is the high-octane sexed up action adventure frill frill multibillion piece at the top of the big Government food list.
But, at the least we cannot afford it. And a lot of other things. I mean let us just forget the moral pitfalls with the Government telling us how to run our lives for a second.
This is just pure not business sense. This is silly and wrong.
But of course the Government is not a business, and is being run less and less like a business with each and every day. They can just confiscate more and more of our wealth. They can just trade money with foreign Governments, or Print more money.
But nevertheless this puts more and more strain in our society for a Government that can think, and it has anything that they want to get. Anything with the frills on it.
And we suffer, in more days than one.
We do not get James Bond, but get an every growing Governmental apparatus.

Now Is The Time To Take A Stand !
The ‘North’ States during the creation of the constitution had to barter with the “South” States and work out agreements in order to nail down a set of rules and foundation on which to build this country. The South would have nothing to do with removing slavery. Their economy depended upon it and they would walk away from the table and refuse to become a part of the United States if forced to give it up.
If the South gained a majority of power there would be no hope of ever removing slavery from the country. Something called the 3/5ths compromise was decided upon. If each slave was counted as a whole(1) person, the South would have far too much influence and slavery would never be abolished. If each slave was not counted at all, the south would easily be overthrown in numbers in the government representatives and then slavery would be outlawed.. thus the South refused to join. So.. the compromise was that each slave would be counted as 3/5ths of a vote/person; also… a road to the reduction and gradual removal of slavery was laid out for the future. (Supporting Data)
The issue of slavery continued as the South kept a tight fist on the issue of slavery and did not live up to their promises that were made at the time of the 3/5ths compromise. Several States of the north had already abolished slavery and pressure grew from the churches and communities to abolish this horrid treatment of other men and women.

But what of the 3/5ths compromise do black men and black women get taught in school? What do black men and black women get taught about the Republican Party?
They are taught in public schools that Republicans are evil and don’t consider them equals; that the 3/5ths compromise was the North and Republicans saying that a black man is only worth 3/5′s of a white man. No where in the public school education are black men and black women told that it was the Democrat controlled South (slave owners) that wanted to keep them as slaves to this very day; that were bartering and promising to gradually remove slavery; just to lie with no intention of ever freeing black men and black women from slavery. Are black men and black women in public schools taught that it was the Democrat party that opposed the Civil Rights laws of 1964. Are black men andblack women in public schools taught that their beloved Democrat Senator Byrd was a recruiter for the KKK and in 1944 he wrote to Senator Theodore Bilbo, “I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side . .” and said he would sooner die a thousand deaths and see Old Glory trampled into the ground than to do so; at his request he appeared in the movie Gods and Generals as a confederate general; he filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act; and he was the only senator to vote against confirming Clarence Thomas and Thurgood Marshall to the United States Supreme Court. (Supporting Data) But the Democratic Party didn’t suddenly find love for black men and women because Senator Byrd is now dead; no, they are still filled in their ranks with racists. (Supporting Data)
Are black men and black women in public schools taught that it was the Republican Party that introduced the Civil Rights Bill of 1964 when they were a minority and outnumbered by the Democrats? But that it was the Democrats that filibustered to prevent it from becoming law?
Did you know that long before; it was brought to the floor of congress long before by Republican Senator Charles Sumner’s 1875 Civil Rights Act.. Where again; the Democrats threw it out and would have nothing to do with providing rights for black men and black women in this country. (Supporting Data)
So; why did Obama get 95% of the black vote in the last presidential election? Why; election after election, decade after decade do the black men and women of this country vote and support and chant with almost religious fervor to support the people that never wanted them to break the bonds of slavery? Never wanted them to get the right to vote? Never wanted them to share their drinking fountains or eat at their same counters or ride in the front of the buses? Why do black men and women insist on being so blindly devoted to the political party that seeks to hang them from trees in nooses? (Supporting Data)
This article only scratches the surface of this subject. There are literally dozens of subjects which this problem encompasses and it would take at least three books to cover them all properly.
But I have to ask.. no; I have to challenge black men and black women to dare to walk away from the people that for centuries have wanted to (literally) enslave them. (Link To Someone That Decided To Stop Being The Slave)
After the civil war, reconstruction was the North forcing the South to free their slaves. Did it change the hearts of those slave owners and get them to treat the newly freed slaves as equals? No, it created the KKK, separate drinking fountains; and the list goes on and on. It created a new and equally ugly type of hate and human embarrassment.
I know this will skim over a great many issues which each deserve their own article or even an entire book printed about them, but this article would be incomplete without bringing them up.
I need each of you to ask if the following list of positions is something you wanted when you voted for Obama. Go down the list and keep count of all the issues which your blind support has given out country.
1. Devotion to the Democrat Party and Obama has given us increased federal tax funding to overseas abortions. $50 million here, it’s illegal for military bases here in the States to give abortions, but overseas Obama found a loop-hole to kill more babies here.
2. Devotion to the Democrat Party and Obama has taken money from your paycheck, your children’s paychecks, your grand children’s paychecks in order to give Trillions of dollars to banks across the country. (Supporting Data)
3. Devotion to the Democrat Party and Obama has ensured that our men and women in uniform are still in Iraq and Afghanistan.
4. Devotion to the Democrat Party and Obama has ensured that the Bush Tax cuts are going to be allowed to expire; and thus you will see your taxes going up because Obama thinks he can spend your paycheck better than you can.

This is the time in our country when black men and black women and their children have a chance to break the chains of slavery from around their ankles. This is the time in our country when black men and women and their children can have real hope.
Please, I implore you to stop playing the part of the battered wife. Leave your cruel and degrading and abusive relationship and stand up for yourself. You will find tremendous support and acceptance from your fellow Americans.
Don’t just vote for someone with an R (Republican) by their name; because many of them over the years have been corrupted by power as well. Search for a candidate that supports what you believe in and who has a track record of actually keeping to their beliefs -after- they actually get elected.
Please, I beg you. We can not help you; if you do not decide to help yourself. Please stop being the puppet of the Democrat Party. You are being used and abused and mocked as an entire race of suckers. Please; be enraged as you should be. Demand respect by taking action at the ballot box this fall.

A few weeks ago, I was taken to task for being so critical of our president for taking some much time for himself, in the midst of the worst environmental disaster in our country’s history. I was told to give him a chance, to give him time, and that I seem to just hate the man. Well let me address these. First of all, I was under the impression that it he was on this disaster since day one. Everyone was told that he would not rest until this problem was addressed and the oil cleaned up. Yet, every time I check, he is golfing. This coming from the party that scorned George Bush for golfing during the Iraq war, yet he stopped. This President does not. I am told to give him a chance. Well Sir, how many more years should we give him a chance for? The Republicans are nothing, they can do nothing, do you hear me, NOTHING. He has complete free ride. He can get anything he wants with no hiccups. The Congress has been in Democratic hands since 2007 and now I am told I need to give him a chance, to give him more time. More time for what Sir? To destroy the country and the constitution till it is nothing but a piece of toilet paper? Look at what has happened in less than 18 months with this man being in office.
He said unemployment would never go above 8%, well its 9.5% now and real unemployment is above 17% while we spent over a trillion dollars for nothing.
He signed a disgusting health care bill, that for the first time in American history, the government mandates you buy a product or face jail time or a fine. That at the same time puts more debt on the books, more debt that we cannot afford.
The immigration problem continues, and while the state of Arizona appealed for help from the Federal Government for over 400 days, they finally took action in their own hands and passed a law that mirrors the already existing Federal law on the books to stem the tide of the problem. And how does the President react, by taking the state to court.
The economy continues to contract along with the rest of the world. The stock market is volatile and the housing market is still beyond the scope of where it was in 2007. “We are fighting for our nations survival right now”, as Clinton’s former economic advisor stated. “We must stop spending and stop now.” But apparently we should give him more time. More time to add to the debt, to stack the court, to push for further legislation that limits our liberties and taxes us into oblivion.
Sure we can do that Sir. We can do that. Yes we can! Right? You think I hate the man. No. I think he is completely unfit for the office. I think he is the biggest disaster in this countries history, if we keep going down this road. Maybe passing Cap in Trade will help you think he is doing what ever he can for the people of the Gulf. Right? Or perhaps he can come up with an economic plan to address the problems millions of Americans are going through right now, at least until he gets back from a vacation in Maine. Our society is going to collapse, again from Clinton’s economic advisor, if we keep going down this road. So tell me Sir, how much longer should we let him have his way, completely till you wake up and see what is going on?
Tell you what my friend, maybe you should take some time and read a history book and you can see that we have had all the time we need to see what is coming down the road.

Divide and Conquer
How can so many talk about what they know nothing about?
Before Michelle Obama spewed pure lies from her lips, she should have looked father into what she was talking about. The Tea Party movement is not a racist one as those in charge would like you to think. Tell me, Michelle, if there really was all this violence and hatred, why has it yet to be caught on tape? Oooh! Partiers must be sneaky. Considering all of the cellphone videos circulating, should there not be at least one documented racist remark?
I, unlike Michelle, went to a rally a few months ago. I was invited by a Christian missionary who has lived in mud huts in Africa. (She, too, must hide her hatred well.) I even took my year-old son into the brutal, raging masses and had to stand by as they laughed at him while he danced in the aisle. What vicious people were they to smile and wave to my baby!
A few rows ahead of me sat a mulleted man. While I know I should not have, I rushed to condemn his as the very person who gives tea party members a bad name. He was surely a redneck. A couple minutes later, a black woman with a scarf around her hair sits next to him. They even shared a few small kisses. See what happens when we rush to judge?
There were three African-American speakers at this relatively small event, including Apostle Claver Kamau-Imani, C.L. Bryant, and Alan Keys as the keynote speaker. Each one of them took time away from the issues to address how they knew they were welcomed just the same as the man dressed as Abraham Lincoln. Each professed to know the tea party is being labeled as racists to divide the group. I will let you guess who was the first to stand up and cheer in the entire arena. The lady with the pretty scarf.
Why would she be enticed to react with such vigor if she did not feel the same way?
Racists? No. that is just how the NAACP, the Obamas, and others with too much power are seeking to divide the nation. They must be more than a little scared. This group goes against everything they wish to conquer and change. I would be scared, too, if people stopped buying into empty words. (Come on, people. What did you think “hope and change” meant anyway?) Who is really racist here?

My words today are about my personal life as well as politics and my vision as to how to revive our country.
There are many facets to a diamond, many angles and ways in which light reflects through it to produce a single diamond. Today I am looking at just one of those facets of my life. It is not the entire diamond, but just one of the parts of who I am.
It is my belief that when a person (myself included) gets caught up in the perfect house, the nice car, the great neighborhood, busy working extra hours to pay for it all, finding you need to send your wife off to work to help pay for it all.. you begin to get consumed by it all.

You may still go to church, still seem to have all your beliefs in place. But are you? Have you compromised going to your daughter’s swimming event so you can get some overtime? Did you drop another $1000 on a credit card so you can have all the fancy new technology for your kid for Christmas? Are you working 40 hours of the week just to pay your payments and overtime is the only time you have any breathing room to pay off debt or most likely… to burn on entertainment to make the stress go away?
Well, I am here to tell you that the stress and pain of living that life can go away. But you have to go through a furnace first and burn away all that poison that is stealing the joy of life from you.
We never had to claim Bankruptcy because I was able to get a job working in Baghdad as a contractor and that was great money. A year and a half of bashing away at debt kept us from that fate. But it was close and there was a great deal of pain involved in digging out of that hole. It forced a re-prioritizing of our lives.
Compound the issue of being away from my family for 1 ½ years in order to help dig my family out of that hole, I was also mentored in an amazing program to teach me financial responsibility and life training in character and integrity.
I don’t know what your bottom is, but I hit mine and it’s what was needed for the scales and illusions of the ‘perfect life’ to fall from my eyes and let me see me and the world around me clearly for the first time.
My master was debt and feeling I had to keep pushing that perfect life further and further with 0% down, 24 months same as cash.
What is your master? Having the perfect life? Alcohol? Fishing? Softball? Something else?
I am not claiming that every illusion, every problem, every hang-up in my life has been purged from me. But to this point there is nothing I am knowingly holding on to as my own.
When you recover, and realize that even if you lose everything again, you know that you can survive and it will make your stronger and those around you will become more dear and important to you. The fear no longer controls you, manipulates you, and leverages you into being the person you don’t want to be.
That concludes the part about my personal life.
As it applies to politics I believe we as a country must also hit a Bankruptcy (obviously that will financially happen now), but not financially… ethically.
We as a people have filed our government in an ethical bankruptcy case. We have discovered no character and no integrity in our government. We have discovered corruption from Village, Town, City, County, State and Federal levels.
We are at our Countries bottom and we have a choice as a people. Will we endure the pain of the fire? Will we become uncomfortable and take action to dig out of this problem? We have a mountain of ethical debt that seems overwhelming in our ability as a country to climb out of.
The other choice? Do nothing and watch the world around you crumble into ruin. Me; I choose to become part of the sollution, and not a part of the problem.
My solution is to start with ourselves. Purge every action and thought in your life that calls into question your character and integrity. Do you take shortcuts at work to save money at the expense of quality or the customer? Do you deceive your wife by dropping by the pub on your way home for a drink with the guys and a good flirt with the waitress? Do you choose the softball game in the evenings over time with your kids at home? Do you choose that booze in the bottle and make it the thing you put most important in your life?
To save yourself, you must lose yourself.
Stop having your life be about yourself; my perfect life, my bottle, my softball, my feeling good. Stop having your life be about yourself; turn your attention on others. Turn your attention on serving your wife, your children, and the people in your community.
How about wash those dishes without being asked? Fold that load of laundry you know are in the drier instead of going to that softball game? Ask your son to go play catch in the yard before he asks you. Mow your neighbor’s lawn while they are out grocery shopping and slip away without letting them know it was you.
If you can tackle this in your family life and with your neighbors.. then run for the board of your town or city. Continue in the same fashion. Serve. Put people before yourself. Help people learn to stand on their own and make an earning to provide for their families. Cut taxes so people can pay their bills and expand their businesses and hire more people. Cut programs that government has no business being a part of. Trim back your local government like you have learned to do with your family. If you don’t have the money in the budget; then you don’t do it. You put money into savings, you plan for a rainy day and you get completely out of debt. Your town will flourish and so will you because you have put others ahead of yourself.
If you can tackle the local posts, become involved with State positions. This still doesn’t get complicated. Run the State like you run your family. Put others before yourself, keep within your budget, don’t waste other people’s money. And uphold the laws and ethics.

I think you can see the pattern here.
Yes, we must point out corruption and tyranical leadership where we see it. But that will not fix the problem. We must replace those people with people that are not self-seeking power whores.
If you do not see anyone you feel you can support in an election, maybe that means that you need to run for the position.
Here in Arizona the Senate race looks like I’m going to have two choices. Senator John McCain, or J.D. Hayworth. Again, another election where I have to decide on bad, and worse.
I think it’s time to take my own advice. Got my family in order? Got my community in order? Perhaps it will take us a long time to make a dramatic improvement across the country, but if everyone is doing this I believe the compound effect of our lives will create a tidal wave of ethical recovery in the country.
Join me, fall on our knees and get our personal lives in order. Then stand up with confidence and humility to help those around us. Let us lead by example and reclaim this dying country.
